What is required:

  • “Powerful, multi-channel home backup system. In the event of power supply interruptions from the city network, it is necessary to provide backup power to “critical” household electrical appliances (devices) such as modem(s), computer(s), refrigerator, TV(s), lighting (in required areas), CCTV cameras, heating boiler, water supply system pump(s), etc.” “Powerful, multi-channel home backup system. • Large capacity. Ensure that the backup system operates long without electricity in the city network.
  • Pure sine wave. For many devices, it is necessary to provide a high-quality power supply (pure sine wave, stable voltage both in level and frequency, complete absence of voltage surges)
  • EPS. Fast switching to backup power. For audio-video hardware, medical devices, and other sensitive electrical equipment, it is necessary to ensure a switching time of no more than 20 ms to a backup source.
  • Saving. Reduce electricity costs (with multi-tariff electricity payments)
  • Fast charging. Charging the system from 20% to 80% in no more than 2 hours is necessary.
  • Charging from different sources. The backup system must be able to charge both from the city network and other sources (solar panels, charging stations for electric vehicles, external power generators, 12V sources in the car, etc.).
  • Modern LiFePo4 batteries must have a recharge cycle of at least 3000 times. It means 10 years of exploitation.
  • Remote control. An application for mobile devices that allows you to monitor and manage the backup system is available.
  • Mobility. The backup system should be mobile – it can be used at home and outside.

This set of tasks is quite difficult to solve in full, especially with one device. The uniqueness of Ecoflow DELTA Pro is that this charging station solves all these problems with a number of additional features – such as:

  • Scalability. Additional external batteries can increase the Delta Pro station’s capacity, and several DELTA Pro stations can be used within one backup system.
  • Simultaneous operation of inputs/outputs in solar generator mode. The ability to simultaneously charge the station from solar panels while supplying electricity to external devices connected to the station.
  • Automation. Ability to set different work scenarios.
  • Safety and reliability. It does not heat up at full load, does not emit harmful substances, increases fire safety, and has a long warranty period.
  • Quiet operation. Low noise level.

Installation and operation experience

Input/Output power, Charging, LiFePO4 batteries.

The output power of DELTA Pro is 3600W in long-term operation and 7200W in short-term load.

EcoFlow DELTA Pro assembles the battery section from lithium ferrophosphate cells (LiFePO4). LiFePO4 batteries have a long life cycle – they can last 10+ years of continuous use with daily recharge cycles. Typically, mobile battery systems can withstand 800 charge cycles, after which their capacity is reduced to 80% of the original capacity. DELTA Pro with LiFePO4 battery can withstand 3500 cycles up to 80% and as many as 6500 cycles up to 50% of the original capacity of 3600 W. Thus, even with a full daily recharge, DELTA Pro will remain operational for 18+ years.

Full charging of DELTA Pro (3600 W) from a 220V network occurs in 1.9 hours with an input power of 2900 W. Such fast battery charging is possible thanks to EcoFlow x-stream technology, which is safe and does not reduce the declared battery life.

“”DELTA Pro allows you to set the charging speed and range in the application and work in mor “”gentl”” modes to increase battery life. To do this, on the back panel of DELTA Pro, you need to set the charging speed switch to the slow/custom position and then select the required charging speed in the application. You can also select the battery charge range in the application “”DELTA Pro allows you to set the charging speed and range and work in more”“gentle” modes to increase battery life. Reducing the battery charging speed can also be used when the input power of the 220V network is low and when DELTA Pro is simultaneously connected to other powerful consumers.

DELTA Pro allows separate and combined charging from different sources:

  • Direct charging from city network (AC)
  • Charging from the city network via Smart Panel (see below)
  • Charging from a fuel electric generator and EcoFlow Smart Generator (separate article >>>)
  • From an electric vehicle charging station
  • From a 12V source (from a car cigarette lighter or battery)
  • From solar panels.
Fast charging home backup

Today, this is the widest range of charging options among similar devices.

Connecting DELTA Pro via EcoFlow Smart Panel.

DELTA Pro allows you to replace traditional backup power sources such as gasoline/diesel/gas electric generators. At the same time, DELTA Pro can be connected to the home network like a regular electric generator through a changeover switch or an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Most ATSs in the market switch to backup power very slowly.

The EcoFlow Smart Panel distribution panel must be used when building a multi-channel backup power supply system with fast reserve transfer (EPS mode, 20 ms).

Installation of Smart Panel

Smart Panel allows you to connect up to 10 backup power circuits with individual mode settings.

In configurations with simultaneous use of 2 DELTA Pro connected to SmartPanel, the maximum output power is 7200 W.

Smart Panel - UPS and energy management solution

Smart Panel allows you to optimally configure the combined charging of the DELTA Pro battery from the city network and solar panels.

Delta Pro has a built-in inverter for charging from 1600W solar panels. This allows you to charge the Delta Pro station in 5-6 hours. Smart Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) automatically adjusts to maximize solar power generation based on time of day, weather conditions, shadows, and more.

Charge your reserve battery with solar energy

Delta Pro has a wide voltage range from 11-150V (it is better to stay in the range up to 130V; do not exceed 150V – this will damage the inverter), which makes this station compatible with third-party solar panels with MC4 connectors.

Charge your battery with arevayin panelner

You can configure the backup power circuit(s) using Smart Panel.
Example: Circuit 1 (electrical appliances: refrigerator, smart home subsystem, total consumption up to 60W) will be constantly powered by the DELTA Pro battery.

Monitor each circuit

Circuit 1 operates autonomously for 48 hours until the DELTA Pro battery is completely discharged. Using solar panels allows you to increase the battery life of Contour1. Solar panels can charge the DELTA Pro battery simultaneously with the battery powering external loads, so with balanced charging of the DELTA Pro from solar panels, you can achieve unlimited battery life for Circuit1.

You can charge DELTA Pro from the network at night and spend the charge during the day; how much will this save?

Typically, the total power of critical loads (refrigerator, modem, computers, etc.) does not exceed 200 W. During daytime battery life with such a load, the capacity of the standard Delta Pro battery will last for 16 hours.

Solar panels can lead to greater savings. Average estimates give savings of up to 50,000 drams per year. DELTA Pro should not be considered an alternative to traditional solar power plants.

DELTA Pro has a very low self-consumption – 14W. If the DELTA Pro station is disconnected from the network and there are no external loads connected, it will automatically turn off within 12 hours, and 168Wh will be spent. When unplugged, the DELTA Pro battery holds a charge for up to 350 days.

“”When DELTA Pro operates around the clock, the””losse”” due to its consumption will amount to 336Wh, i.e., about 9% of the battery capacity. For comparison, the popular mobile battery station Bluetti AC300 will spend 1512Wh or 49% of the battery capacity on its consumption in 24 hours “”When DELTA Pro operates around the clock, the”“losses” due to its consumption will amount to 336Wh, i.e., about 9% of the battery capacity. Possible types of loads. Delta Pro Station Scalability

Delta Pro can be connected to various loads, from lighting fixtures to welding machines to critical electrical appliances.

Moreover, while simultaneous connections of several external devices are allowed, their total consumption must not exceed 3600W. If a load with high starting currents (water pump, miter saw, etc.) is connected to DELTA Pro, operation with a short-term overload of up to 7200 W is possible.

When connecting a powerful load to DELTA Pro, you should ensure the X-Boost function is enabled in the application. In this mode, DELTA Pro can power a device with a declared power consumption of up to 4500W without losing functionality.

Use XBoost to power heavy home appliences

In addition to AC consumers, DC consumers can be connected to DELTA Pro: 4 USB-A ports, 2 USB-C 100W ports, a 12V/10A car cigarette lighter port, 2 12V/3A 5521 ports, and an Anderson Powerpole 12V/30A suitable for high-current 12V circuits.

A separate DELTA Pro station has an output power and built-in battery capacity of 3600W. At the same time, the DELTA Pro architecture allows you to scale the backup system: it is possible to either increase the output power by simultaneously connecting two DELTA Pro stations to the EcoFlow Smart Panel distribution panel (up to 7200W) or increase the station capacity by connecting additional batteries, up to 25 kW hours:

Add batteries up to 25kWh
